So I just finished reading , " The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon" by Stephen King. Best quote, The world has teeth. A bit of an understatement in my mind but I am not a little girl lost in the north woods of Maine. I think that there is a sudden fascination with the main character. You feel that the divorce of her parents has made her grow up far to fast. I think I personally gravitated to her because I was young when my parents went through a shitastic divorce..fun times. I read it to my 7 and 9 year old and it was the first time they begged for me not to stop reading. I think that the parallels that are present in the book are amazing.

Now, I am not saying that Trisha ( main character) is a herpyderpy little snot nosed monster. She faces some of the worst things we adults have to deal with and then some. I think that kids today deal with more shit than we give them credit for, hell I know at six when my mom left I certainly did. So, moral of the story stop whispering behind there backs and lay it out straight kids are resilient little shits and they can deal with alot more than an adult can.
